We
went back to the park yesterday. It was a lovely hot day & the
sprinkler was on. Bruno was very keen on exploring the sprinklers!

After
singing we always have an apple in the park and sometimes the odd fruit
biscuit too. Bruno only had eyes for the water though.

 Bruno
has a mini obsession with shoes at the moment. He wants his on all
the time and we have to give him a list of things that go on before
shoes otherwise he gets quite upset. Shoes mean going outside =
something exciting!! He likes to "tie" Adam's laces and knows the
rhyme but doesn't quite get the actions right - Adam's shoes normally
end up with the laces half out. Here he is practicing with mine.
Check out facebook for a
video of him wearing them.

18th - Bruno's Book Collection
Bruno loves to read his books. Here is a selection of what he has
been enjoying lately...
Enjoying
The Snail and the Whale with daddy. Bruno love to point out the
buoy, lighthouse and volcano in this book.
One
of the many Meg & Mog books Bruno has - not quite got the whole set yet.
These books are almost like comics and Bruno loves the whole BANG /
CLASH pages.
Stickman.
The latest book from The Gruffalo team. Bruno likes to find
Stickmen in the park now thanks to this book - although he normally
pulls their legs off which definitely doesn't happen in the book!
We have the whole set of Julia Donaldson Axel Scheffler books now apart
from Tiddler - can't find it anywhere... Hope they make another
one in time for Christmas lists!!
The
Wheels on the Bus. This one gets out far too often!!
Lift
the flaps and slide the slides - Trucks. Not as popular as you'd
think from a vehicle obsessed toddler. He definitely prefers
stories and being read to.
Hairy
McLary's Bone, part of the Hairy McLary set that we have. Bruno
likes this one the best as all the dogs get stuck as you read through
the book.
Winnie
the Witch - can't tell which one from this photo. We have the
whole Korky Paul set and Bruno has really enjoyed these books lately.
It seems that the illustrator is more important than the author and
he'll like all books where the pictures look the same no matter what
story I drone on about!
Harry
and the bucketful of Dinosaurs series - Romp in the Swamp. Bruno
really loves Harry. We regularly read at least one each day.
I don't think he's got a favourite although he's less keen on the one
about the dentist...
Usbourne
talk about book series - The Zoo. Bruno went through a phase of
going for these every day but they sit on the shelf totally ignored now.
It taught him lots of animals but just isn't interesting enough to hold
his attention now. These will be passed on soon I think.
I
bought a Dr Seuss collection last year. All Bruno has done with
them so far is try to shove them down the back of the sofa. The
pictures on this collection are pencil drawings in black & white and so
just not interesting enough. A bit old for him perhaps.
Similarly my Mr Men collection doesn't get a look in as the
illustrations are too simple.
16th
We went to the Easter Festival last weekend at Cardinal Place. We
did the Easter Egg hunt - look for the picture in the shop window rather
than look for real eggs! Just 1 we didn't find but they gave that
to us when we went to collect Bruno's goody bag which had an egg for
Mummy and a voucher for a new shirt for Daddy. Bruno got the
balloon! The balloon man also made him a yellow motorbike - a big
Harley but the front wheel popped within minutes!
He didn't want to have his face painted or make the mask but Mummy made
the mask for him instead. He was more interested in the 6 foot
rabbit handing out chocolate!

Playing
"I see you Mummy" with his new mask - it kept breaking as not enough
glue was used! We were waiting for our lunch in Wagamama's -
Bruno's favourite!

There are lots of videos on
facebook but you have to register with the website to see them.
I can't load them on here - they are too big!
We went to Regent's Park last weekend. Bruno loved chasing the
pigeons, was warned off doing the same to the geese and almost fell in
the lake. A thrill packed day! He was especially enamored
with the gazebos.

Checking
out the flowers in the formal gardens. The hyacinths smelled very
strongly but Bruno wasn't quite into sniffing them - he just made the
noise with his mouth. I'm not sure he's quite worked out how to
use his nose yet.
