December 2008
Its Christmas!!.... and we're all ill!
We spent Christmas at Tracey's. Here are some photos.
Bruno
loved patting Minnie. She was very tolerant and he was very
generous. He also liked rolling around on her bed (copying her no
doubt) which rather upset Minnie who just stood there looking peeved
that someone else had her bed!
Everyone
has to read Meg & Mog when Bruno meets them.

I think it would be fair to say the guinea pig, Rebel, won the
popularity contest. He got a lot of carrots & beans over 2 days!

Presents! Bruno got loads of toys some of which have disappeared for
a few months while the living room recovers.

 DJ
Monster at the ready!

A
manic monster is too much for some!

Doing
THE puzzle with Granddad.
Bruno
enjoyed Jan's version of tail on the donkey.

Back home and Granny & Chloe came to visit while Uncle Mark and Granddad
went to football. Bringing yet more presents! Bruno didn't
seem that keen to open any but he did like playing with his magnetic
letters & numbers. His favourite is the green x!
 Cooking
with Daddy. He did an excellent job of peeling the onion!

We went Christmas shopping at Peter Jones today.
Bruno brought The Night Garden home with him.

 www.kneebouncers.com
the best and worst website for toddlers depending on your viewpoint.
We were recommended it and now Bruno is addicted. He points to
Adam's computer and asks for Makka or he points to my computer and asks
for lorry or police car or ambulance. He already climbs onto the
chair himself and starts playing at computering - he'll be finding the
website himself next!
We
got an advent calendar free from the shop when Bruno got a new pair of
shoes last month. It has disgusting chocolate inside but Bruno is
naturally very keen on it. He sees it as a dispenser of brown
gold! He'll even say please, complete with sign language for it.
Didn't quite get a photo of the please but his enthusiasm shows through!
 He
can't quite open the windows himself from scratch, you have to start it
off for him but boy is he keen! He then has the chocolate popped
out for him. Lo, a chuffed boy!
With
a face like that he must be up to no good! He's got the bay leaves
out of the cupboard, opened the jar and has helped himself to a handful.
I don't think he was well rewarded for such ingenious adventure though
as bay leaves aren't that tasty!!

A visit from Granny & Granddad....

Reading
with Granny and force feeding Granddad liquorice.
Bruno
likes to fill his pig with pennies... or pound coins if he finds them.
He knows mummy's purse is full of them (ha ha!) so likes to empty it &
find them!

I've renamed Bruno the molar monster... He's not a
happy bunny and none of us are enjoying this lovely phase of tantrums,
disturbed sleep & general unhappiness - all thanks to a few teeth!!
Here are some pictures from the fun we've had today - only
30 minutes sleep in the pushchair so we were both glad for bedtime to
come around!!
Putting
the charity shop donations in the bin - he's learnt well but shame it
wasn't actually rubbish... oddly putting rubbish in the bin is a real
treat for him!
Emptying
all the cupboards just to find 1 toy / book. Don't bother tidying
up, he'll do it again in 10 minutes!

The bubbles were a good choice (thanks to Ches for sending them to us!) as
they gave entertainment for more than 5 minutes. This is when we
need the full DVD collection of In the Night Garden!! Bruno knows
you have to blow but still prefers to put it in his mouth instead.
He did blow once but a rather paltry drip was all he could muster from
the thing....
...and
yet he blew the yoghurt!
Finally
allowed the pot!

 Bruno
loves his cars & buses.
Glued
to the goggle box for Makka and co...

Bruno
loves his buses so much he wanted to take them to bed - cue major
disaster tantrum. So now we need a knitted car... (please Granny!)
 We
went to the swing park today. Bruno lives to climb around the
bridge and kiss through the bars!
He loves the roundabout but only as long as he can stand on the floor and
push it. As soon as you stand him on the ride he starts to get
upset.
He jumped ship very quickly and tried to walk but ended up in circles as
he was too dizzy!

Trying
someone else's bike out for size. Luckily for them it was locked
to the railings!
I've made some videos of Bruno playing & singing.
 Helping
to decorate the Christmas tree and not being impressed by mummy's cake -
and all because she dared to touch the bus. Oh the joy of toddler
tantrums!

Bruno decided to have a lie in last week...
