Bruno's birthday

Bruno wasn't that bothered about present & card number 1 but by the end of the 3 day celebrations he was an expert at ripping paper!

He had lots of lovely presents.

We bought him a Brio train set similar to what he plays with at nursery.

He especially liked it when the trains went under the house - although he kept moving the house away from the train track!

A brief interlude to dismantle the clock and then he was back on the trains.

We went to our singing group as normal and everyone sang Happy Birthday to Bruno before we left.  He then sang it to himself for the rest of the day...  This is him practicing the night before.

After singing, Bruno had a surprise treat.  There was a fire engine in the road when we were walking to the park.  I was pointing out the flashing lights when the firemen came out of the house they had been visiting and offered a brief tour for Bruno.  We sat up in the passenger seat and the fireman pointed out the various parts of the truck.  Bruno seemed rather chuffed once he got over the shoving to get him into the seat to start with.

He was very pleased when the fire engine put on its siren just to wave at us when we were walking down the street too!

At the park Bruno did his usual find a stickman & pull his legs off game...

After a brief trip to the dog area to look at the dogs it was time to run up the path...

A quick pretty stone inspection...

Bruno was an unwilling model!

Bruno heard an "eating machine"... - the gardeners were getting rid of some tree branches.  He wasn't too keen on the noise to start with but once he realised the man was in control and it was behind the fence then he wanted to go and see it.  He went on about going back to see the eating machine for the rest of the day too!

When we got home there were more cards to open.  Bruno was very careful not to rip any of his cards.

Showing off his badge from Uncle Mark & Aunty Lisa.  Surprisingly hard to attach to his clothing as its a "safe" badge for children!

Bruno had a special parcel from his BLW pen friend in Nashville - some shiny car stickers which he got stuck into right away.

Opening yet more presents that we picked up from the post office - a jumper & a train from Granny.  Note the t-shirt - a Christmas present cum souvenir from Uncle Mark & Aunty Lisa.

Its a train!

Modelling the cardigan from Granny.  Its a bit big - it comes down to his knees!

On the Saturday Bruno had his little party.  We invited a few friends with children of a similar age or just with children really - any excuse to see friends we don't often get to see!  The guests...

We had lots of balloons for everyone to play with.  Check out a video of Bruno with his nanny playing with balloons here.
